VRL KnowledgeBank, is a global financial services intelligence provider, producing a range of industry-leading newsletters, web sites and management reports as well as being the organiser of a number of high-profile international conferences.
As they added businesses to their portfolio the cost and complexity of their web offering was ever-growing, yet each of their clients was interested only in easily-accessible timely market intelligence.
We designed an information management structure for them which also serves the above websites. We left a manual and did minimal in-house training and the system continues to be rolled out to more sites and new aquisitions without reference to us.
Although each site is re-skinned with style-sheets, they have chosen visual designs, like the designs of their newsletters to be in a consistent house-style. In this market it is their expert research that distinguishes them, not their design.
Whereas previously they might have needed a full-time web developer, plus an editorial process for each of their sites, the editors now simply use the content management system - the cost saving is immense and the information can reach the consumer more quickly.
